DEED
(Herkimer County Clerks Records Room -deeds-book 66, page 396) Witnesseth, that the said parties of the first part, for, and in consideration of the sum of one dollar and other g___ considerations to them in hand paid by the said party of the second part, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, have granted, bargained, sold, remised, released, aliened, and confirmed; and by these presents do grant, bargain, sell, remise, release, alien and confirm, unto the said party of the second part, in his actual possession now being to his heirs and assigns forever, all that certain piece or parcel of land situate in the Town of Columbia aforesaid being parts of lots nos. 38 and 43 in the second tract of StaleyÕs Patent bounded as follows Beginning on the north side of the old Utica and Minden Turnpike Road, so called, and in front of Sylvanus H. Stevens shop and running thence south 18 20Õ west 10 86 chains on the road to Millers Mills. Thence south 15 00Õ west 7.62 chains in the center of said road thence south 51 35Õ west 6.78 chains to the end of a stone wall. thence south 37 00Õwest 5.97 chains to lands of John Miller the party of the first part thence south_____ ____27 65 chains on said MillerÕs land to a hemlock stump on the line of lots 38 and 43 Thence north 37 45 east 5.34 chains to a stake and stones. on the line of said lots nos 38 and 43 thence south 57 38 eat 19.10 chains to a stake and stones thence north 36 17 eat 20.96 chains to a stake and stones on line of lots nos 43 and 44 thence north50 38 west 18.97 chains on the line of lots nos 43 44 to the corner of lots nos 37 38 43 and 44 thence north 28 46 west 7.06 chains on the line of lots nos 37 and 38 as fenced ____ north 20 25 west 27.38 chains on the line of 37 and 38 as fenced to a stake and stones on____ É.____ north side of the said turnpike ___north 89 15 north 10 chains as the north side of said turnpike. to the first mentioned bounds containing One hundred and thirty three acres one road and fifteen roll of land. The land above described and hereby intended to be conveyed as the same land and premises described in and conveyed by a deed from Chauncey Adams and May Adams his wife the said Michael Schuyler dated the 27th day of February 1851[?] and recorded in the Clerks Office of Herkimer County and being the same farm upon which the parties of thefirst part now reside. Together with all and singular the hereitaments and appurtenances thereunto belonging, on in any wise appertaining, and the reversion and reversions, remainder and remainders, rent, issues and profits thereof; and all the estate, right, title, interest, claim and demand whatsoever, of the said parties of the first part, wither in law or equity, of, in and to the above bargained premises, with the hereditaments and appurtenances. To have and to hold the said premises to the said party of the second part his heirs and assigns, to the sale and only proper use, benefit and behoof of the said party of the second part his heirs and assigns forever. and the said Nicholas N. Schuyler one of the parties of the first part, for himself his heirs, executors and administrators, does covenant, grant, bargain, promise and agree, to and with the said party of the second part, his heirs and assigns, the above bargained premises, and every part and parcel thereof, in the quiet and peaceable possession of the said party of the second part, his heirs and assigns, against all and every person or persons, lawfully claiming, or to claim, the whole, or any part of the said premises, will for ever warrant and defend.
